Biofeedback Pelvictrainer®

How does the Pelvictrainer® work?

Step 1: Pelvictrainer Test, determine starting point

Each patient has a different pelvic floor muscle characteristic, according to strength and control. For proper zero point determination, a test involves tightening and relaxing the pelvic floor muscle three times. Sit still and upright, breathe relaxed and avoid using the abdomen and breath to exert additional pressure on the pelvic floor. This test is performed once at each workout.

In this step, the client first experiences that the tightening and relaxing of the pelvic floor has an effect on the screen, the signal goes up and down on the screen, i.e., biofeedback.

Pelvictrainer Training Basic

Step 2: Pelvic training basics, open exercises

The training program is free formatted:
✓ Feel free to exercise your own patterns
✓ Follow the instructions of therapist like:
     ✓ Change muscle contraction stepwise
✓ Stay long on low contraction (endurance)
     ✓ Combinations of exercises

The training focuses on examination and analysis in:

✓ Being able to relax as a condition of being able to tighten up

✓ Strength: tighten or relax

✓ Coordination and reaction speed

✓ Stamina

Step 3: Basic exercises

The training program has four components:

1.  Concentric (contract)
2. Isometric (keep contracted)
3. Eccentric (relax)
4. Relaxation (keep relaxed)

Workout focused on:

✓ Strength
✓ Coordination

Pelvictrainer Advanced training

Step 4: Pelvictrainer Advanced training: Rapid power exercises

The training program has five components:

1. Concentric (contract)
2. Isometric (keep contracted)
3. Eccentric (relax)
4. Relaxation (keep relaxed)
5. Speed (rapid contraction and relaxation)

Workout focused on:

✓- Coordination
✓ Timing (speed)

Step 5: Pelvictrainer Rapportage, Results

The overview shows for each run the performance by category, based on:

✓ Strength (deviation from target value)
✓ Coordination (variation from target value)

Per component the course of the runs is presented.

In case the training is done as a registered client, graphics of the trend over all trainings are shown.

Pelvictrainer Reporting

Step 6: Pelvictrainer Reporting, Progress training

In case your training is personlized (patient logs in) then training results are stored. You can review all results individual or make a trend report.

A trend report shows the performance over all training sessions.

You can:

✓ Zoom in per phase
✓ Make a print out
✓ Store performance overview in a PDF file.

Step 7: Biofeedback with Medicalbench®

Compare progress to other patients, worldwide, real-time

The course of the exercises of a patient can be studied by the doctor/practitioner within the context of his/her illness and treatment. The results can be compared with other patients with similar profile.

To enable this, the Medicalbench® software is fully integrated with the Pelvictrainer® application.

Standout through innovation: that is the mission of Msys Medical Systems®. Because we believe in great products and solutions that contribute to healthcare.
